The Biodynamic Tenuta Mara estate
Tenuta Mara is a dream which has come to life thanks to the passion of entrepreneur Giordano Emendatori, a place with a distinctive architectural identity ideal for hosting concerts and wine tastings, but also for corporate events and enogastronomic happenings.
Visiting the interiors of the Estate is also a sensorial experience, where wine is refined amid the colours of painted vats and Gregorian chants which envelop the barrels, walking past several works of art to the Hall of Music from which to enjoy a 360° view over the vineyards in the estate.
We find ourselves in San Clemente, Rimini and in this truly unique place the practices of biodynamic agriculture (Demeter certification) merge with the passion for music and art.
The Tenuta Mara mansion has 7 hectares exclusively cultivated with Sangiovese grapes within an ecosystem which houses 700 bird nests, 50 bat houses, a small stable with three horses, besides a permanent workshop for artists and researchers.
Only one wine label is produced (approximately 20 thousand bottles yearly): the “MaraMia”, a Sangiovese from biodynamic agriculture, the grapes of which are rigorously hand-picked and selected after being lulled 24/7 by the notes of Mozart diffused throughout the vineyard by a sophisticated sound diffusion system.
The wine ferments without temperature supervision and with no added yeast and finally reaches the barrel cellar where it remains for twelve months.
Refinement is then completed in the bottle for another twelve months.
In a few month's time Tenuta Mara will also be enriched by a small exclusive
four-suite resort developed over three floors which, besides a spacious kitchen equipped for catering and a lunch area with seating capacity of 40 people, will also comprise a small well-being area and an outdoor swimming-pool.
